Passing arguments as they were received (but incorrectly)
What if we need to pass the list of individual arguments (or pairs) to another function?
examples/advanced/passing_varargs.py
def f(*args, **kwargs): print('f args: ', args) print('f kwargs: ', kwargs) g(args, kwargs) def g(*args, **kwargs): print('g args: ', args) print('g kwargs: ', kwargs) f(1, 2, a=3, b=4)
f args: (1, 2) f kwargs: {'a': 3, 'b': 4} g args: ((1, 2), {'a': 3, 'b': 4}) g kwargs: {}
g() received 2 individual parameters, the first was a tuple, the second a dictionary
